As runners, we know what conversational pace means. Heart rate is under control, effort is comfortable, and the miles come easy. That’s not what this newsletter is about. “Not A Conversational Pace” addresses topics that are controversial, ambiguous, and unexpected within run culture, so we can examine the state of the sport and find creative ways to push the pace, and the boundaries.

A little bit of background on myself: I’ve been a runner my entire life (well, ever since my mom made me sign-up for cross-country and turns out I loved it). I’ve worked in sports marketing and tech for over a decade at companies including WHOOP and COROS, and collaborated on projects with many well-known running brands like Strava, Outside, Zwift, and more. You can check out my portfolio here.

Bonus: this newsletter also emboldens female athletes to speak their minds and find ways to grow their online brand.

What can I expect to read in your newsletter?

  • The latest marketing trends and newsworthy moments in running

  • Stories about runners doing things differently

  • Interviews with industry leaders and athletes

  • My hot takes and personal experiences in the industry

  • The occasional discount code or opportunities within running/wellness brands (I want to help out the running community as much as I can!)
